A profile of drag superqueen Sasha Velour, 2017 winner of Ru Paul's Drag Race, spent time as a student at White River Junction's Center for Cartoon Studies. A recent WCAX interview with the star reveals how she credits Vermont as a tolerant place where she could develop the confidence in drag that ultimately propelled her career, which includes illustration work, a fashion line, and regular performances.
