BACKGROUND

The Vermont Creative Network is a broad collective of organizations, businesses, and individuals — all working to advance Vermont’s creative sector. The Network welcomes all creatives and currently benefits from the energies of the many people in visual arts and crafts, performing arts, literary arts and publishing, film and media design, culture and heritage, and artisan foods. This convening offers an opportunity for town planners, creatives, developers and economic development folks to focus on the creative economy. We will share our stories, our resources in our community, successes and failures, new ideas, and network with each other. This will also give town leaders a chance to interact with regional organizations that have capacity and resources to share.

Organized by the Rockingham Arts & Museum Project and Vermont Performance Lab in partnership with Next Stage Arts Project, Vermont Creative Network, the Vermont Arts Council, the New England Foundation for the Arts and the Southern Vermont Economy Project.
