Vermont's working artists who love to teach and engage communities in your work are encouraged to apply for this upcoming opportunity. The Thriving Communities Project has opened its next round of funding: Vermont teaching artists may apply for up to $10,000 to bring people together to create public artworks that strengthen awareness of a pressing social challenge and opportunity.
The Community Engagement Lab believes that teaching artists can play an essential catalytic role in the greater success of their communities.
Grant recipients receive funds for project design and implementation, plus a full scholarship to the five-day Teaching Artist Academy, led by Eric Booth, to expand their skills and boldness in project design and implementation, partnership building, and fundraising.
